Indian Ghosts?
submitted by Megan
October 2007

Megan Writes:
"
I was staying at a friend's mother's house in ******* *****, in a newer neighborhood in which you could see that there were plans to build about 3 neighborhoods next to each other but it seemed as if they just stopped building the 3rd one. My friend had received a notice in the mail in which it claimed that they needed to halt the construction of the 3rd neighborhood because they found Indian burials at that location. prior to receiving this notice in the mail, he experience curtains blowing even though there were no windows open, his cat would meow at the corner in the bathroom and the TVs would turn themselves on and off and one night turned to the History Channel where they were broadcasting a program on Indians."

"We attempted to take pictures one night after the TVs would not cooperate with us and in one it seems as if there are orbs...."

"...and in the other there is almost an outline of two "people" in the mirror. (We were crouched down on the floor out of sight so it could not have been us)"

Owen Thinks:
My first thought is "Dude! What were you two smoking?" but then my second thought is "No, Seriously, Hook a brotha up!"

Okay, let me expand on that a little. I would comment on how curtain rustling, electronic malfunctions, & cats meowing for no reason are all part of normal life, and it is we who inject the para into the normal, but I don't have video or pictures of that to review, so I'll stick to the pictures.

First up, let's tackle that Orb!

A. The first thing I see in this picture is al the reflective items. Flashes reflecting off of something, then back into the lens of the camera is the most common way to produce orbs, and this is a mirrored candle with a glass globe.

B. I know the flash was used because of reflections from items such as a light switch.

C. In case you couldn't see it, I edited it slightly to bring out the reflections\.

D. Pictures are sometimes overlooked when trying to figure out if an 'Orb' is legit. Not only is the glass in the picture a reflective surface, but it appears the frame has some kind of glass or decorative pieces in it that reflect light as well. Note the shot of light going straight up the wall.

It is also important to note, even though they are a little hard to see, there are square reflections on the back of the door coming from the pictures on the wall. I'd have to say that most likely, you are dealing with a anomaly caused by light, and not a ghost.

Let's move on to the second picture that may actually hold the proof that ghost exist! Full apparitions in the mirror! Not one, but two! This is unbelievable! Where you two playing a game of "Bloody Mary" before you took this picture? Y'know, that game where you'd go into the bathroom with the lights off and someone would tap on the mirror and call out to Bloody Mary while you waited in horror to hear or feel something? The only thing I ever felt was some boobs and once someone grabbed my ass.

Sorry, I am getting off topic. Ok, after reviewing the bathroom picture I think there are in fact two apparitions in the mirror.

I've blown it up and you can clearly see to the right the ghost of the maid and her translator staring back at you. It's almost as if they are trying to get a message through. The maid is pleading, saying, "¡lave sus espejos con una solución libre de la raya por favor!", and you just can't hear it.

I have to be honest. All that I see in the picture is dirty mirrors reflecting light off of each other.

Keep in mind, what I see may not have been what you saw. So if you truly believe this place is haunted by Indians, set up some cameras and take more pictures. Who know's what might manifest in front of you.

Orb in Street
submitted by Carol
October 2006

Carol Writes:
" This was taken outside of my house. It's not completely circular, but I swear there are spirits here! "

Owen Thinks:
I'm not sure if I'd call that proof of a ghost quite yet. There's a bright street light in the background, almost directly in the center of the picture. I am quicker to say that this 'orb' is a direct reflection of the camera's shutter on the inside of the lens. But hey, that's just me

Skull in Mist

Carol Writes:
" This pic was taken in 1998 on a disposable camera. My neighbor had died in her house and as I took the picture I was asking to see a spirit! It was also on the negative. "

Owen Thinks:
Wow. This is a good one. I see short sleeves & shorts in the picture, so I doubt that's someone's breath on a cold evening & assuming you were not smoking, I have to admit that this is either a camera malfunction or an actual ghost.

My money is on a malfunction of some kind.

I did enlarge the 'skull' and ran it through some imaging test and it appears to have depth.

Orb During Reading
submitted by Carol
October 2006

Carol Writes:
" I'm giving a reading to my family, and I ask for a spirit to guide me in my readings. Look at my leg near the board. You tell me if that's dust or a bug? "

Owen Thinks:
Ok, I blew the orb up and enhanced it. It appears to cast a slight shadow against the red blanket. Look at the dark coloring around the top & bottom of the orb.
Due to the fact that you are sitting on a bed with multiple people with a blanket over you, I would have to say this is a spec of dust. Also, the women in the white shirts looks as if she is 'ducking' out of the way of the picture. Fast movements like this are notorious for stirring up dust, even in a clean house.
